About Me and Who I Am Looking For:

I'm a 36-year-old attorney living a vibrant and fulfilling life, despite facing challenges with muscular dystrophy that severely limit my physical capabilities. My career has been diverse and rewarding, transitioning from defense law to an advisory role in a tech company. Beyond my professional achievements, I have a rich personal life that includes a deep appreciation for the arts, late-night activities, and maintaining an active social life.

My condition means I require comprehensive assistance for daily tasks and activities, as I'm unable to perform physical actions on my own, down to the simplest of gestures like scratching my face. I'm in search of two highly capable individuals to act as an extension of myself, aiding me in both personal care and professional tasks. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, from personal care and household management to accompanying me to various social and professional events.

In my personal life, I enjoy a vibrant and active romantic life, shared deeply with a life partner, as well as others with whom I have intimate connections. My approach to relationships is open and embraces a broad spectrum of experiences. It is important to me that my home environment supports and respects these aspects of my personal life, maintaining a space where privacy and freedom are paramount.

Hours:

For this private assistant position, I've structured a clear schedule to ensure I receive the support I need, while also allowing the assistants predictable work hours and adequate rest. Here’s the breakdown:

Assistant 1 is scheduled to work from Monday night at 8 PM to Tuesday afternoon at 1 PM, and then again from Tuesday night at 8 PM to Wednesday afternoon at 1 PM.
Assistant 2 takes over from Wednesday night at 8 PM to Thursday afternoon at 1 PM, and continues from Thursday night at 8 PM to Friday afternoon at 1 PM.
The weekend shift, which is a continuous duty from Friday night at 8 PM to Monday afternoon at 1 PM, is alternated between the two assistants. When it’s an assistant's turn for the weekend shift, they work for three consecutive days, on top of their typical shift, which occurs either before or after the three consecutive days.
During the weekdays, there's a seven-hour break between shifts, from 1 PM to 8 PM. In case of an emergency during this period, the assistant scheduled for the upcoming shift is expected to provide assistance. This is also the case if extra assistance is needed during this timeframe, such as during the holidays.
For travel or special circumstances requiring continuous support, both assistants will be required to work together to ensure my needs are fully met.
This schedule is designed to maintain a balance between work and rest for the assistants, while providing me with the necessary assistance to lead a fulfilling life.

Benefits:

Starting at $80,000 yearly salary, paid annually, spread with a payment every two weeks; eligible for bonuses throughout the year at my discretion.
Your own room with your own bathroom (you will either have your own apartment or it will be a two-bedroom two-bathroom apartment). Furnishings will be provided.
A vehicle or a one-time payment of $5000 to purchase a vehicle.
An annual stipend of $500 for uniforms (Polo or L.L. Bean brand).
Monthly insurance stipend.
Weekly food stipend and/or food provided. You will still need to provide much of your own food, but you will be provided some minimal food each week.
Two weeks paid vacation every year (occurring usually in January).
